The 3rd Annual Jam It For The Planet-Mama Earth Celebration is occurring downtown Eau Claire on Saturday, April 22, 2017 at Eau Claire Downtown Coffee and The Plus. This ALL AGE music, environment, and business expo. will feature great local music and the opportunity for community organizations, groups, and representatives to connect with community members on sustainability efforts right here in the Chippewa Valley! 

In celebration of our Mama Earth theme, Jam It will celebrate female leadership as it relates to sustainability. The event will support female role models in showcasing their gifts, talents, and abilities. Event participants are encouraged to bring their children to experience women taking a key leadership role throughout the event as well as attending the action packed and interactive kids show by Eddie Danger! 

The event will start at Noon with musical guests and speakers at both locations! Music and speakers will last until 4:30pm at ECDC with the remainder of the event finishing @ The Plus! 

At The Plus, FREE family friendly activities will be occurring from Noon - 7pm. Attendee’s are encouraged to stay and purchase a $5 ticket for the evening portion of the event with proceeds benefiting our 2017 recipients as outlined below.

Engaging Guest Speakers: Jam It will feature a variety of guest speakers including an Earth Day recycling conversation with Jam It’s Earth Day themed super hero. Guest speakers will lead conversations on a variety of topics related to the environment and sustainability, throughout the afternoon and early evening. Speakers include: Community and environmental advocates, University staff and students, State wide environmental advocacy groups, Local farmers and business owners, and much more. 

Fun For Everyone:  Daytime activities will feature a kids creation station (recycled art projects, crafts, face painting, etc.), Earth Day superhero meet and greet, food specials, live art and art installations, and a kids show with Eddie Danger! The Torch Sisters will be performing during the evening portion of the event, at The Plus. Fire spinning included, weather permitting!! 

Music: Jam It will feature local musical talent including: Eggplant Heroes, LASKA, Randy Adams, Milk and Whisky, Olive Sings(2 sets), Eddie Danger, RavenWolf, Eduardo Rafael, Kai Ulrica, Mark Joseph & The American Soul, and the Earth Day All-Stars.

Supporting Local Organizations: Every year Jam It raises money for local and state movements that impact our community and world. All proceeds from the events tickets sales will benefit the Wisconsin League of Conservation Voters and Eau Claire’s new local curbside composting initiative supported by Earthbound Environmental Solutions, LLC.
